FEMA Port Security Grant Information

The FEMA Port Security Grant NOTICE OF FUNDING OPPORTUNITY (NOFO) release date and submittal date for FY 2022 applications information is below.

  1. NOFO is slated to be released on Friday, May 13, 2022.
  2. Application period will be short… 30 days, running from Friday, May 13 to Monday, June 13,  2022.
  3. National priorities of Enhancing Cybersecurity and Protecting Soft Target & Crowded Places are eligible for 20% score boost from National Review Panel.

Emerging Threats will not be included as an eligible project type this year. The 6 eligible National priorities are:

  1. Cybersecurity
  2. Soft Targets/Crowded places
  3. Planning
  4. Training & Awareness
  5. Equipment & Capital Projects
  6. Exercises

This grant provides funding to state, local and private-sector partners to help protect critical port infrastructure from terrorism, enhance maritime domain awareness, improve port-wide maritime security risk management, and maintain or reestablish maritime security mitigation protocols that support port recovery and resiliency capabilities.  The Preparedness Grants Manual is available from https://www.fema.gov/grants/preparedness/manual for more information and guidance for FEMA grant funding.
