St. Louis, MO ⎯ The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) recently elected the board of directors for 2022, including officers and four members to serve on the board.
Elected to serve as officers of TPSA for the 2022 year were: President Angela Martin, Heritage Environmental Services; Vice President Rachel Bomberger, Washington State University; Secretary Jennifer Thomasen, Bayer Crop Science and Treasurer Wendy Sue Wheeler, Washington State University. Kimberly Gilbert, Corteva Agriscience, will serve as the Immediate Past President.
Elected to the board of directors were Clinton Shocklee, Tri-Rinse, Inc., as the container management representative; Anne Mcmillan, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, as the environment/public health representative; Aaron Bonilla, FMC, as the pesticide industry representative; and Jack Ranney, Clean Earth, as the Waste Management representative. Each will serve a two-year term.
Continuing to serve on the board are Becky Roark, Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, as the end user representative; Michelle Wiesbrook, University of Illinois, as the institution representative; and Renee Woody, North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, as the government representative. The at-large representative is vacant. Serving as ex-officio members of the board are Thomas Lopiano, US EPA/Office of Pesticide Programs; and Bonnie McCarvel, TPSA Operations Manager.
The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship. The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts. Check the TPSA web site for more information. The 2023 Pesticide Stewardship Conference is scheduled for February 7-9, 2023 in Reno, Nevada.
