Dear Member(s):
As
we move from the first quarter 2021 to the second we are looking
forward to a temperate spring. I trust all remain well and safe.
COVID-19 vaccinations are being delivered and administered throughout
our great country. I think it is prudent to continue to adhere to the
COVID-19 guidelines, even when inoculated, as we continue navigating the
through pandemic, to remain safe and well for ourselves, families,
companies and others. I take time to write to you today on a couple of
items.
First and foremost, may you and your families remain healthy and safe for the holiday and spring break.
In
the most recent SCAA BOD Meeting Highlights I mention that the SCAA
2021 Virtual Annual Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Please save the date and be on the lookout for the announcement and
registration. A big thank you to our Planning Committee and Staff for
getting this meeting planned and facilitated.
As you know IOSC 2021 will be a Virtual Conference to take place May 10 – 14, 2021.
Our
2021 (aka 2025) Strategic Vision and Business Plan for the coming year
is being finalized and will be available soon. Thank you to our chairs
and staff in this effort.
There
is a new term this year, “COVID Hangover” as it has replaced “COVID
Fatigue.” However, with the vaccines and following the COVID guidelines
we will be able recover from both soon. I remain very proud of our
industry and you the association members who have risen to the challenge
and have made the best of these times. A true testament to our
industries response readiness for any hazard.

I
look forward to seeing and hearing from you very soon. Let us know any
thoughts or recommendations you have for your association.
Thank you for your membership.
Stay Safe, Stay Well and enjoy the Holiday and Spring Break.
Sincerely,
