The Spill Control Association of America is a proud CONFERENCE SUPPORTER of the 2020 International Oil Spill Conference (IOSC 2020)

SCAA is officially recognized as an IOSC 2020 “CONFERENCE SUPPORTER”, a recognition SCAA has worked diligently to achieve prior to IOSC 2017 and has finally succeeded.  See  https://iosc2020.org/.

SCAA and several of member companies – Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., HEPACO, Inc., Heritage Environmental Services LLC, Moran Environmental Recovery LLC, and National Response Corporation,  are co-sponsoring the Admiral Thad Allen keynote speaker luncheon on Wed, 13 May.  SCAA is also sponsoring a domestic scholarship recipient.  Several members have volunteered to serve as technical paper session chairs and two SCAA members are on the IOSC Program Planning Committee.   

SCAA is assisting BSEE with the IOSC 2020 Technology Demonstration which will be a static demonstration involving eight (8) stations staged in the rear of the Exhibit Hall similar to the static stations layout at IOSC 2017 in Long Beach.  The Technology Demonstration is planned for Wednesday, 13 May morning and afternoon.  SCAA convinced the IOSC Executive Committee to also support a Technology Demonstration fieldtrip to Clean Gulf Associates facility in Harvey, LA where leading technology equipment both staged on land and in the canal can be viewed by conference attendees who sign up for the fieldtrip.  The fieldtrip will be held on Monday, 11 May afternoon 1:00pm to 5:00pm.  Anyone interested in demonstrating new spill response technology should contact John Allen, SCAA Outreach Director at jallen@scaa-spill.org.
