Plans are well underway for the 2012 SCAA Annual meeting on March 8th and 9th with a great agenda and networking opportunity for all SCAA members and prospective members. This year, a number of members have expressed interest in a Capitol Hill visit day. In the interest of travel expense minimization, the two events will be held back-to-back with the Capital Hill visit planned for Wednesday, March 7th, 2012.
The 2012 Annual Meeting will be a day and a half beginning Thursday March 8 and ending on Friday, March 9 at noon. The Annual Meeting will be held at the Sheraton Suites in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Experience the historical charm of Old Town Alexandria on the Potomac River half way between the Capital and George Washington’s Mount Vernon manor. The hotel provided shuttle service from Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) located within 5 miles of the hotel.
Wednesday March 7 will be the first SCAA Capitol Hill visit day where SCAA members and staff will visit targeted Congressional offices with a message consisting of the top three SCAA legislative issues.
SCAA will also be allowing non-members to register and attend the Annual Meeting so save the date! More information can be found on our website.
