The Spill Control Association of America is excited to announce its newly elected Safety Committee Chair, Douglas Townsend! Douglas will be stepping in to fulfill these duties for Leanne Stegman. He has a degree in Environmental Science from the Ohio State University and over 25 years of industry experience and currently serves as the Corporate Compliance and Training Manager for SET Environmental, Inc. He is a member of the Corporate Safety Leadership Team where he supports annual strategic planning and budget reviews. He is a risk management/assessment expert and oversees the safety/ environmental audit inspection process. Douglas maintains the LMS (Learning Management System) SET University for the company. Douglas Townsend assists in setting goals for the company and works with the corporate safety director to enhance the overall safety culture.
Douglas has been an active member of the Safety Committee for several years and has experience in both his involvement with SCAA and within his career at SET to bring a lot to this role.
