National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan Requirements Amended

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or the Agency) is amending the requirements in Subpart J of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP) that govern the use of dispersants, other chemicals and other spill mitigating substances when responding to oil discharges into waters of the United States. 

The Subpart J Monitoring Final Rule was published in the Federal register on 7/27/21.  Please see: National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan; Monitoring Requirements - Final Rule.  The final rule is effective on January 24, 2022.
