A Note from SCAA President as 2020 Comes to an End

Dear Member(s):

As we are now in Fall headed to Winter, I know many have already experienced some cold weather, and as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic I wanted to take time to write to you.

First and foremost, may you and your families remain healthy and safe this holiday season. Here’s wishing you all Happy Holidays.

You may have already been advised that IOSC 2021 will be a Virtual Conference to take place May 10 – 14, 2021.

In the most recent SCAA BOD Meeting Highlights I mentioned that a survey for schedule and attendance regarding our 2021 SCAA Annual Meeting and Conference is forthcoming, so please take time to complete and submit the survey to aid us in planning for this event.

Our Committee Chairs are reviewing the 2020 (aka 2025) Strategic Vision and Business Plan for the coming year. Thank you to our chairs and staff in this effort.

If you are like me, my family, and my company you are experiencing some form of “COVID Fatigue” so I would like to offer encouragement that this too shall pass with time and a much anticipated vaccine. All of us have had to adapt personally and professionally and again I am very proud of our industry and you the association members who have risen to the challenge and have made the best of these times.

The Marketing & Communications Committee continues to give you a friendly reminder encouraging members to submit written articles for the SCAA News Blog. Your participation with submission is greatly appreciated.

As the year comes to a close I ask you for your input and want your feedback:

How can SCAA support you during these times?

Are there best practices and experiences we can share among the association as a result of solutions to problems encountered along the way?

Thank you for your membership.

Stay Safe, Stay Well and enjoy the Holidays.

Sincerely,

Robert E. Chambers
President
