SCAA Annual Meeting Hosts Largest Turnout in Years


Last week on March 8th and 9th the Spill Control Association of America (SCAA) held its 2012 Annual Meeting in Alexandria, VA. The meeting was attended by more than 80 SCAA members, speakers and guests. The day and a half meeting was packed with presentations from the United States Coast Guard, the National Pollution Funds Center, The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, OSHA, EPA and other experts from private industry and trade associations. Rear Admiral Paul F. Zukunft, Assistant Commandant for Marine Safety, Security and Stewardship, USCG, spoke about Spill Emergency Response and the Deep Water Horizon Incident as part of his keynote lunch address.

A number of SCAA members remarked that the meeting content was some of the best that they had ever received at an annual meeting.
